The Word Cloud View displays a set of words extracted from Text Fields in your dataset, organized by frequency.
In the "Views" tab of your Visualization, click the Word Cloud thumbnail to configure a Word Cloud View for your Visualization.
The configuration window will appear with the settings on the left and a preview on the right. The preview will automatically update as you make edits.
There are two tabs in the settings on the left: "Mappings" and "Descriptions".
The "Mappings" tab lets you configure the word frequency mappings for your Visualization.
Start by specifying the Field you want to extract words from in the drop-down menu. The Field should have the type Text. Then, click the "Select Keywords" button.
The window that pops up may take a moment to load at first, but after it finishes it will display the entire set of unique words across all values for the Field you have selected, ordered based on frequency of occurrence.
You can check specific words on or off to include or exclude them, and you can also use the buttons at the top to include or exclude all words at once.
Once you have chosen the words you want to display, hit "Save". The resulting screen will display all of the words you have selected, sized based on occurrence.
The "Descriptions" tab finally lets you add a description and meta-description to your View. The description will appear at the top of the View and is a good way of orienting users to what they can hope to take away from the View. The meta-description lets you add a write-up of the key takeaways from your chart for screen readers.
